Thank you for supporting the ministry of Camp Aldersgate!

We are proud of the fact that every time you come back, the site has moved forward and improved in some way. Thinking about what camp looked like 75 years ago, there are many things that have changed over the years.

And yet, there are three things that have stayed the same:

1) WHY the camp exists- as a place for both youth and adults to have a place to get away from distractions, to focus on time with God, and to feel the love of an intentional Christian community.

2) The beautiful backdrop setting being in CREATION and

3) HOW the camp has been able to improve. Aldersgate’s fees have always been just enough to pay for the operations of the site and it has funding to maintain roofs and things that break. But any real significant improvement/expansion to the site is all done through gifts of our generous donors. Thinking about how the site has grown in the past 75 years, we are passionate to keep that momentum going and to think about what the readers of the 150 year newsletter will see in the next 75 years.

How can you help and what is next you ask? 

Has camp been powerful and formative in your life or in the life of someone you love? If so, please consider one of these giving opportunities to help us make Camp Aldersgate even better for all!

• Our current large on going project is gutting and renovating the old directors residence- turning it into a modern and handicap accessible shower house while adding much need beds to our capacity (click on our most recent newsletter at the bottom of this page to see proposed floor plans, and what is needed to make this happen). Please consider helping us continue the work on this much needed large project.
• We also have several smaller projects we would love to tackle in the coming year including converting lighting in key buildings to LED lights to save on our electric bill, improvements to our Waterfront to bring in some new attractions for our campers, and extending our covered porch on the dining hall to add outdoor seating and allow us to serve larger groups. 
• Give a partial or full Campership ($499). By giving a Campership, you help a child experience camp that otherwise could not.
• Consider an undesignated gift to wherever needed most.
• Organize a volunteer work crew from your church or business. Camp can accommodate work crews of up to 50 people, ages 12+. Call or email to discuss projects and dates!
• Remember Aldersgate in your will (contact Gary Jones at 330-499-3972 ext 120).
