Socially-Distanced Family Vacation Destination

Beat your shelter-in-place cabin fever by renting our cabin and entire camp ground

Rent out the entire 29-acre site for a week or half week. Have the entire place to just you and your family for some high-quality social distancing. Includes lodging, a Camp Host that will lead up to 5 hours a day of physically-distanced activities such as Guided Kayak Trips, Waterfront Time, Archery, Hikes, etc. A daily devotional will be provided for your family to do together. All included, you work with your Host to set your schedule of activities for the week. Board games, TV and a movie collection, firewood, and more will be provided. While the realities of Shelter in Place are rough, doing it at camp, where we are built for isolation, sounds incredible!

If these arrangements of dates do not work for you- let us know, we have certain dates during the summer with which we can be flexible.

Included in your rate is up to 5 hours a day of Aldersgate Staff Facilitated Activities including:

  • Lifeguard for Waterfront Swimming and Boating
  • Archery Instruction from a distance (may require parents help with small children)
  • Guided Kayak or Canoe Trip to the Natural Spring or Marina to get Ice Cream
  • Errand Running for your family- for example- picking up pizza
Frequently Asked Questions

How many people can we bring and can we bring friends and relatives?

  • At this point in time, our local health department has approved that up to 10 people at a time may share a building. These guidelines and restrictions are changing every couple weeks so check back often to see how this changes. 

What steps will we take to keep everyone involved safe, including our guests and staff?

  • Our plan is to put at least 24 hours between leaving and arriving families to allow buildings time to completely air out and our staff to disinfect buildings from top to bottom. We have developed a very thorough cleaning checklist with our local health department to make sure that everything is cleaned correctly in these new standards. We will ask your family to disinfect the surfaces you touched the most during the week before you leave to protect our housekeeping staff, meaning that many surfaces will be disinfected twice. Once your family is on site, our staff will not enter your building at all. We will provide you with housekeeping supplies to touch up your space as needed throughout your stay. We will meet with you outside, following social distancing policies or via telephone.

We ask for families to consider, if your income was not affected by the events of COVID-19, and you were planning on going on a family vacation that can no longer happen due to travel restrictions, to consider making a donation to camp in the amount that you had budgeted for lodging and activities on your canceled trip.

We also recognize that for families that were affected by COVID-19, our rates may not be possible. Many of our supporting local United Methodist Churches who typically help get children to camp, may have funds available this summer to help your family get to camp. Check with your local UMC. We will ask for payment in full at the time of your check in. You are welcome to make payments up until that point.
