FACILITIES

Horstman Lodge includes sleeping accommodations for 34.  The upper two floors of the lodge contain seven bedrooms with twin-size bunk beds.  The number of beds varies from room to room.  Each floor has a single full-service restroom.  The first floor has a large common area furnished with sofas, chairs, fireplace, and TV/DVD player.  A full-service kitchen equipped with two stoves, sink, cookware, dinnerware, microwave, and full-size refrigerator is located on the first floor.  An additional bedroom, restroom and shower facilities are located in the basement of the building.  A large deck attached to the back of the lodge provides a wonderful setting for lounging, meeting, grilling or eating outdoors.

Retreat Cottage (Guest Groups)
This winterized facility has a sleeping capacity of 10 persons.  The cottage is a single floor building consisting of two bedrooms and a common room/kitchen area.  Each bedroom is equipped with twin-size bunk beds (either two or three sets) and a single full-service restroom.  The common room is furnished with sofas, chairs, tables, and a TV/DVD player while the kitchen area includes a stove, sink, cookware, dinnerware, microwave, and full-size refrigerator.  Additional restrooms and showers with outside access are located in the basement, but are available for use only from late April to mid-October.

Cabins (Guest Groups and Summer Camp)
The camp has seven one-room cabins available during the warm weather months, May-October.  These cabins are equipped with a combination of single and bunk beds that will accommodate 14 persons.  Restrooms and showers are available for use in the basements of Horstman Lodge and/or the Retreat Cottage.

The Pearl Johnson Dining Hall (Guest Groups and Summer Camp)
This facility is ideal for large group meetings,  indoor games/activities, and dining.  The dining area can comfortably serve 120 for meals and is furnished with chairs, tables, a piano, and a fireplace.  Groups using the camp during January-mid May and mid August-December have the option of preparing their own meals or they may choose to have the camp staff prepare meals for them.  The camp does provide food service to all groups during mid-May through mid-August. The kitchen is fully equipped with commercial appliances, cookware, and dinnerware.  A single restroom with outside access is located by the main entrance and a restroom is located indoors off the main room.  Laundry facilities are available for use on a must-need basis.

The Activity Center (Guest Groups and Summer Camp)
This facility is available for use during the warm weather months (March to October).  This one-room building provides ample space for meetings or indoor recreational use.  For example, during summer camp this facility is used as our Arts and Crafts area and indoor activity area during the few weather events that push us indoors.

Outdoor Chapel (Guest Groups and Summer Camp)
This picturesque setting provides a wonderful site for an outdoor meeting or worship experience.  Permanent benches are provided for a capacity of 150.  Electricity is available at the front of the chapel for music, amplifiers, and other uses.  A fire ring is also available at the front of the chapel, ideal for large group camp fire experiences.

Labyrinth (Guest Groups and Summer Camp)
Our outdoor stone labyrinth is a favorite place of campers and staff.  The path to the labyrinth is found at the front of our outdoor chapel.
